Wesley Blake Bowen, age 33, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away tragically on Friday morning. His death is currently the subject of an ongoing murder investigation being conducted by the Dothan Police Department. Wesley was found deceased inside a truck that was partially submerged in a small water-filled ditch near Ross Clark Circle, close to the DoubleTree Hotel and the CarMax sign.
Emergency responders arrived on scene where the vehicle was later removed from the ditch by a wrecker. The area was secured as investigators worked, with sheets held up to shield the scene from traffic and onlookers. The coroner was present, and authorities carefully processed the location as part of the investigation. According to Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd, Wesley’s next of kin have been notified, and arrangements were made for him to be transported to Montgomery, where an autopsy will be conducted to officially determine the cause of death.
